This planet is a prison planet. This planet is the intergalactic Australia. Somewhere on the ocean floor or in a lake in Ethiopia or Africa is our prison ship.
The other choice is that we are descendants of a scout ship (perhaps 80-100 crew members) that crashed here around 190,000 years ago. That ship was Monitor ship to see if the initial seeding of life 1 billion to 3 billion years before on this planet had worked.
Interstellar humanity is bound to this planet, but from the stars.
